Justin picks three favourite pieces from the collection and gives us the design inspiration and heritage behind the designs.

The Lucinda Dressing Table

Seen here in Gardenia Patina

The Lucinda dressing table is a classic contemporary piece that works across many schemes and interiors. It has a practicality in its well apportioned drawers and the broad top, but is given a gentle elegance in the inlay. The piece is painted, patinated, distressed and polished by hand in Gardenia to give it a softer aesthetic

(And we can't let this image go without drawing attention to the fabulous African sketchbook panel, all hand painted in Cape Town - a little afro chinoiserie)

The William Dining Table

Seen here in limed grey oak

The William dining table is possibly my favourite design above every piece in the collection. I love its strong silhouette and the octagonal base and I love the whimsy of the roundels. It is classic but utterly versatile and works in almost any space; we have used it in so many incarnations, high gloss, distressed, fully upholstered - and it always just works.

The Alice Console

Seen here in limed grey oak with gilded detail

The Alice Console is all about 18th century natural motifs that often appeared in Georgian furniture, and I love to see what people pick up when they look at it - some have even seen the tentacles of an octopus.
